Mr. Clarence Earl Glover transitioned from labor to reward on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at UNC Rex Hospital in Raleigh surround by his loving family. Clarence was born June 4, 1957 to the late Layton Glover and Queen Higgs Glover in Martin County. In his early years, he attended Martin County Schools. Clarence was the third out of eight siblings. At a very young age Clarence joined Bible Way Apostolic Church under the leadership of the late Elder David Carter. In 2017, Clarence retired from the Town of Williamston. He was dedicated to his job and serving the town of Williamston. Clarence loved to talk and never met a stranger. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need and greeted everyone with a smile. Proceeding Clarence in death is his father Layton Glover, sister Carolyn Lacy, sister Nellie Roberts, and stepson Specialist Joshua Nelson. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother, Queen Glover, sister, Sylvia Dozier of Robersonville, NC; brothers, William Glover (Shirley) of Williamston, NC; Robert Glover (Viola) of Scotland Neck, NC; Solomon Glover of Robersonville, NC; Donnie Glover (Yolanda) of Atlanta,GA; stepchildren Brian Nelson Jr. (Ciara), Victoria Nelson, Granddaughter, Camille; Aunts Lois Cotton (Guy) of Greenville, NC; Berta Rodgers (James) of Williamston, NC; Uncle Thurston Higgs (Sylvia) of Williamston, NC; Great Aunt Addie Outterbridge of Gold Point, NC; A special friend Jackie of Jamesville, NC; one special niece/Goddaughter Tierra Dozier of Greensboro, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
