Gilbert Earl Cox was born on March 21, 1967, to the late Gilbert Cox and the late Mattie Cox. He departed this life on Monday, April 15, 2024, at his home in Robersonville, NC after a battle with cancer.
Earl was known for his unique character and sassy attitude.
Earl’s passion was working on vehicles and helping people get their vehicle back on the road.
He was employed at American Auto in Greenville, NC until his health began to fail.
Earl leaves to cherish his memories: his wife – Marquette Cox of Speed, NC; one son – Dashawn Cox of Dumfries, VA; two daughters – Dominique Scott of Plymouth, NC; Damanie Scott of Bear Grass, NC; a very special friend that was with him throughout his entire illness – Sharon Foreman; three brothers – David Cox (Teresa); Donald Cox (Janet) both of Robersonville, NC; Nathaniel Cox (Davita) of NJ; four sisters – Myrtle Cox of Philadelphia, PA; Ellena Baylor (LeRoy) of Woodlynne, NJ; Memrie Cox of Cherry Hill, NJ; Mattie Cox of Chocowinity, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
