Obituary The Lord is my shephard; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Psalm 23: 1-3 Rudolph Roberson, aectionately called “Root” by some, was born July 30, 1943 in Martin County to the late Fannie Perkins Roberson and Charlie Roberson. He was employed by Westpoint Pepperell (Beaunit) in Hamilton, NC for 32 years. He was a member of Roberson Chapel Word of Life Ministry Church in Parmele, NC. Rudolph grew up and attended school in Martin County. He met Gloria B. Manning in 1975. After a long, long courtship, they entered holy matrimony in 2008. No children were born to this union. Before his health declined, he loved creek shing on his boat, and sometimes hunting. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Gloria B. Roberson, one daughter, Patrina Vines (Melvin) of Farmville NC, four sons, Corint Brown, Cornell Manning, Jerey (Sean) Manning of Williamston, NC, one son, Maurice Manning, preceded him in death. A very special grandson and son all in one, Maurice Jr., better known as “Bubba”, four sisters, Sadie Brown of Williamston, NC, Joyce McCrary, Shirley Powell (William), Glenda Burnes of Parmele, NC, ve brothers Hoyt Manning (Sandra) of NY, Roosevelt (Alice), McCoy (Doris), Clinton (Diane), and Linvert (Sheila) all of Parmele, NC, one sister Ethel Mae Williams and three brothers CB Roberson, Arthur Jr Roberson and Octavis Roberson preceded him in death. A host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and many, many friends.
