Shannon Michelle Moran

Shannon Michelle Moran, 41, passed away on November 22, 2025 in Mineral, Virginia. She resided in Hamilton,  North Carolina. Previous homes include North Myrtle Beach,  SC and Leesburg, VA.

Ms Moran was born on February 1, 1984 at Alexandria Hospital, to her mother,  Mary Kathleen Milligan Lanteigne (formerly Moran) and George Michael Moran (deceased). She was also predeceased by her loving stepfather, Jamie W. Lanteigne, her grandparents and many aunts and uncles.

Shannon grew up in the Northern Virginia area where she attended Broad Run High School, Stonebridge High School and Northern Virginia Community College. She was especially fond of band,  marching band, choir and theatre. More recently, she practiced jewelry design and art dolls, using vintage jewelry finds and other materials, as well as needle felting, turning raw wool into incredible animals. Her work has been sold world-wide.

Shannon is survived by two children, Jamison Ford Moran and Abigail Rose Moran. The family shared a Greek Revival home ca 1840, with her mother, which allowed them to incorporate their love of DIY, decorating, antiques and vintage furnishings. She and her mother sold vintage and antique items through online sales and enjoyed cruising the countryside and attending estate auctions in search of goods. Additionally, she is survived by her older sister,  Brianna K. Moran.

Those who knew Shannon will remember her witty sense of humor, infectious laugh, beautiful smile and angelic singing voice. They will recall her love of people and animals and her amazing artistic talents. She will truly be missed.
