Willie Roberts Obituary
Willie B Roberts was born in Pasquotank County on September 10, 1925 to the late Anna Roberts and Tom Hardison and was called home to be with the Lord on January 14, 2022 at 1:30 pm.
As a young man Willie attended Martin County Schools as well as New York City Schools.
Willie served his country faithfully in the United States Army having fought in World War II. After being honorably discharged he returned home and married the love of his life, Alice Marie Lee. This blessed union lasted for 75 years until the time of his passing. After years of dedicated service in the workforce Wille retired from West Point-Pepperell Textile Plant located in Hamilton NC.
To honor his memory, he leaves his faithful and devoted wife of 75 years, Alice Roberts of the home; two sons Gregory Roberts (Naomi) of Williamston NC, Stanley Roberts (Pamela) of Winterville NC, one daughter, Janet Yarborough (Bernard) of Durham NC, 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by two sons, Larry Roberts and Tommy Roberts and one daughter Willie Roberts Jones (Walter).
He has two siblings, sister Frances King of Williamston NC and brother David Hardison of Conetoe NC.
